Here is the first news blog from the Women in Nanoscience (WIN) web site....
This page is under construction and we are hoping to be able to rely on you to add content to the site. For instance, we want to post information about women who are featured speakers at major conferences, awards to women from professional societies and other institutions, details on women giving named lectureships around the country or further afield, and display information about special recognition of women's contributions to industry and government labs.
Two important planned parts of the site are currently empty,
The most important missing information is a directory of women in nanoscience, which we consider broadly to include nanoscience, nanotechnology (including nanobiotech), and nanofabrication. Filling this directory depends on you sending your information to us (message us using the big yellow contact button on the side of the page).
A page listing employment opportunities (full-time, part-time employment for women in nanoscience, internships for women graduate students, MEng, MS, and PhD). Again, we hope that you will provide this information for us to display.
We look forward to hearing from you and watching the site grow.
