Prof. Cynthia Burrows Appointed as the Editor-in-Chief for Accounts of Chemical Research

WIN is pleased to see how many of the new editors of key science journals are women. In this regard, we congratulate Prof. Cynthia J. Burrows, professor and Thatcher Presidential Endowed Chair of Biological Chemistry at University of Utah, for her appointment as the editor- in-chief for Accounts of Chemical Research.

Prof. Burrows leads research projects in nucleic acid chemistry, focusing on chemical modifications to DNA and RNA bases to understand the role of nucleic acid in the origin and evolution of life. She succeeds Prof. Joan Valentine (UCLA) who has served as the editor-in-chief for an impressive 19 years.
