WiN is glad to see that Target has decided to remove signs in their stores that suggest there is a difference between building sets for boys and girls. It's about time. Interestingly, some sites suggest that this is good for boys too. Psychologists think that boys "who show an interest in products that are marketed to girls face intense social pressure to take up more masculine pursuits." As the Al Jazeera blog says: "While these stores’ decisions to change their signage will not immediately reverse the attitudes of an entire culture, it’s an encouraging first step." Let's hope for more steps in the right direction.
